About the Builder

Born and raised in North Carolina, Rusty attributes his strong work ethic to the values instilled by his family and the discipline he developed through a lifelong passion for baseball. After playing collegiate baseball while attending Liberty University, he discovered a new calling in homebuilding while working as an apprentice for a local builder. It was there that he found the career that would become his life's work.

Rusty and his college sweetheart now call the Hampstead, North Carolina, area home, where they are raising their four children and remain deeply connected to the community they serve.

With more than 20 years of experience in the building industry, Rusty has gained extensive knowledge through a wide variety of residential construction projects. Each home he has built has strengthened his commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and attention to detail. Those experiences ultimately shaped the vision behind Russell May Homes.
